This set is more suited to younger children as the chanter hole position range is smaller and the Practice Chanter top is shorter in length. It is possible to upgrade to the standard set by purchasing a long Twist-Trap Practice Chanter which pitches in the key of A.
 
They produce a softer more mellow tone in comparison to the Highland Bagpipes and pitch in the key of Bb (466Hz), a general tuning standard for many musical instruments. They are fun to play on their own or in a group setting along with other instruments.
