Inspired by Pictish interlace representing eternity and the twisting threads of fate, here we have a delicate circle of rope outlining knotwork and keywork, which surrounds the locked antlers of the stags. During rutting season, the dominant stag will first roar, then his rival. If neither bellow is deeper, the two deer will then will walk besides each other to size up their opponents. If neither backs down they lock antlers and shove, relentlessly until there is a winner. Here our stylised stags are charging full pelt towards each other.
